Principal

Gabriel Jimenez is a co-founder and Principal of RioBlanco Capital LLC, an asset manager based in Puerto Rico. Throughout the years, he has acquired and operated multiple businesses in different industries, with the most notable success in real estate. He began his career 25 years ago working for his family business, a construction-related contractor, applying himself to the challenging world of development and construction at an early age. Mr. Jiménez has extensive knowledge and experience in real estate finance and management, with a singular talent for redeveloping and repositioning assets. Mr. Jiménez has ubiquitous relationships among Puerto Rico’s business community. He is a member of the board of the Puerto Rico Builders Association. Mr. Jiménez studied finance at Bentley College.

Principal

Olivier Gillier is the co-founder and Principal of RioBlanco Capital LLC. Formerly, he was a Senior Vice President at Merrill Lynch International’s division in New York, where he worked for eight years. Before joining Merrill Lynch, he worked at Citigroup in New York. He began his career as a consultant at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting in Brussels, Belgium. During his career in Finance, Mr. Gillier was also an Adjunct Professor for six years at VLEKHO-Business School in Brussels, Belgium, where he taught “Portfolio Management and Securities Valuation” to finance majors, with a second tenure as an adjunct professor at the University of Monaco. He is currently a member of the board of trustees of the ICLA Da Silva Foundation. In addition, he was recognized for “Showing Promise and Excellence in the Economic and Commercial Field” by the Institute of Directors.

CFO

Mr. Gonzalez spent the last 30 years overseeing the accounting departments of several multinational corporations for Puerto Rico subsidiaries. He began his career as Assistant Comptroller for Turner Construction Company. He later spent 18 years as Comptroller for Pulte International Caribbean Corp, the Puerto Rico branch of Pulte Group Inc, a Fortune 500 company and the third largest homebuilder in the US. During his tenure, Wilfredo directed all accounting functions and financial planning for an operation with over 100 million dollars in annual sales. In addition, he worked as Finance Director for Orthofix, a publicly traded medical devices company, for four years. Wilfredo is a Certified Public Accountant. He received his bachelor’s degree, MBA, and Ph.D. from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico.

Vice President - Head of Real Estate Operations

Mr. Aponte is a Portfolio Manager for RioBlanco Capital, LLC, and heads the Property Management team. Mr. Aponte manages the acquisition, redevelopment, lease-up, and marketing of assets within the Rio Blanco Capital real estate portfolio. Mr. Aponte oversees the sourcing and acquisition of resources for each asset, existing and prospective tenant improvements, and all contractors during asset renovations and rehabilitation. Before joining RioBlanco, Mr. Aponte managed a residential and commercial real estate portfolio owned by a local family office. Mr. Aponte received a BBA from the Universidad de Puerto Rico in 2001.

Head of Capital Structuring and Strategies

David De Buck is a seasoned entrepreneur with extensive capital raising, business development, and client advisory expertise and a proven track record of navigating complex financial and art market transactions. After earning his MBA with honors from the Solvay Business School in Brussels, Belgium, he began his career as a private banker at Lombard Odier in Brussels, Belgium, and Geneva, Switzerland. There, he gained valuable experience managing portfolios for high-net-worth clients across Europe and facilitated multi-million-dollar transactions. 

In 2009, David relocated to the United States and founded De Buck Gallery, successfully building a prominent presence in the art world through strategic expansion and innovative leadership. He has generated between $50-$100 million in art sales and cultivated a network of hundreds of active clients. 

David is passionate about leveraging his entrepreneurial expertise to identify growth opportunities and build successful enterprises in various industries.

General Counsel & Head of Tax Planning

Juan joined Rio Blanco in 2023 and has over ten years of experience providing tax and legal services. Juan’s experience ranges from delivering US federal and PR income tax advice, developing tax-efficient structuring strategies, assisting clients with obtaining PR tax incentives, and working on M&A deals to providing general corporate law and tax advice to funds and asset managers locally and internationally. As General Counsel and Head of Tax Planning, Juan oversees RioBlanco’s internal compliance, assists RioBlanco in structuring its investments tax-efficiently, and works closely with our external advisers on legal and tax matters. Before joining RioBlanco, Juan worked at Pietrantoni Mendez & Alvarez LLC in San Juan, PR, and the Price Waterhouse Coopers LLP (PwC) Washington, DC, and NYC offices. Juan also has served as an external tax advisor to DLA Piper and PwC in San Juan. He is admitted to practice law in Puerto Rico and is a Certified Public Accountant; he also received an LLM in International Taxation from Georgetown University.

Senior Accountant & Office Manager

Ms. Betancourt is the Operations Manager for RioBlanco Capital, LLC. Ms. Betancourt has been with the company since its inception. Ms. Betancourt provides outstanding customer support, superior team oversight, and impeccable follow-through. In addition, Ms. Betancourt is a proven relationship builder and problem solver. Ms. Betancourt oversees regulatory compliance, Accounting, and Financial reporting. Before joining Rio Blanco, Ms. Betancourt worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a Financial Analyst for IPR Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Ms. Betancourt is bilingual in English and Spanish. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico and her Master’s in Accounting from the Universidad del Este.

Asset Manager

Rodrigo Corral is an Asset Manager at RioBlanco Capital, LLC, where he plays a key role in the firm's expanding Real Estate and Asset Management division. In this capacity, Mr. Corral oversees the management, marketing, and strategic growth of assets within RioBlanco Capital’s real estate portfolio, ensuring optimal performance and long-term value creation.

His responsibilities include supervising tenant improvements, managing contractors, and executing renovation and rehabilitation projects across the firm’s holdings. Additionally, Mr. Corral leads the development and oversight of marketing strategies and materials for existing properties and upcoming ventures. He also works closely with Rafael Aponte to facilitate the operational execution of new developments, contributing to the firm’s expansion efforts.

Before joining RioBlanco Capital, Mr. Corral earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA. He further honed his expertise with a Real Estate Finance and Investment certification from Northwestern University, which equipped him with a strong foundation in financial analysis, investment strategies, and asset valuation in the real estate sector.

Investor Relationship Manager

Ms. Ghigliotty is the Operations Manager for RioBlanco Capital, LLC. Ms. Ghigliotty provides in-depth business prospects research, gathering information, summarizing findings, and generating reports. In addition, Ms. Ghigliotty oversees the redaction and preparation of presentation materials and performance packages. Ms. Ghigliotty serves as company liaison while maintaining the highest degree of confidentiality. Before joining Rio Blanco, Ms. Ghigliotty worked for premier financial services, real estate, and architecture firms in New York City. Ms. Ghigliotty received her Bachelor’s Degree from Syracuse University.

In-house Architect

Christian Gonzalez joined Rio Blanco's Real Estate and Asset Management team as an in-house architectural designer for ongoing development projects. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Design from the University of Puerto Rico School of Architecture (2018) and is currently completing his Master’s Degree in Architecture at the same institution.

With experience in architecture and interior design, Christian has contributed to various projects, from residential to commercial spaces. His background in interior design has given him a keen sensitivity to materials, design aesthetics, and the practical integration of spaces. Christian is committed to delivering design solutions that optimize functionality, support each development's goals, and contribute to the projects' success.

Asset Management Associate

Ms. Ortiz is the facilities and maintenance coordinator for Rio Blanco Capital LLC. Isha is responsible for maintaining all areas organized, from office work to handyman duties of the commercial building. Her expertise in customer service has driven her to maintain a high level of communication with our tenants and to ensure that the service is provided. Additionally, Ms. Ortiz coordinates on-site contractors to have the authority to work and ensure every safety measure is permitted. During her career, Ms. Ortiz has worked as a manager, property manager, and assistant administrator in the tourism field. Ms. Ortiz received her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from UAGM University.

Accountant

Lilliam Carbo has 21 years of experience in the accounting field. I started my accounting career as an accounting clerk at Manpower, Inc.. I recently became a staff accountant of Pulte International Caribbean, the subsidiary of one of the best developers in the United States, Pulte Homes. Also, I became part of Implantes y Sistemas Medicos, a subsidiary of Orthofix Inc., one of the greatest surgical and orthopedic implant suppliers providing accounting services. One year and a half ago, I became part of Rio Blanco Capital LLC as a Staff Accountant who performs the Accounting Cycle, manages taxes and payroll, prepares tenants' invoices and compliance with Lease Agreements, and supports the Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Wilfredo Gonzalez, in audits. Lilliam obtained a bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting from the University of Puerto Rico, Bayamon Campus. Lilliam had strong analytical, organizational, and excellent communication skills and became an asset to our team.

Accountant

Advisor

Ricardo Rodriguez is a Partner of RioBlanco Ricman LLC (DBA RB Ricman LLC), a property management group.  Ricardo has accumulated extensive experience in property management over the past 20 years and currently oversees the management of RB Ricman LLC and its employees.

Currently, he serves as First Vice-President at Merrill Lynch, P. F. & S. where he manages the portfolios of wealthy investors.  Prior to Merrill Lynch, Ricardo was active as Vice President at Santander Securities LLC in Puerto Rico.  Mr. Rodriguez has over twenty-three years providing services to a variety of investment managers, companies and high net worth individuals throughout Puerto Rico.  

Mr. Rodriguez received his B.A. in Business from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez campus.

Senior Advisor

Indra Chandra is a Senior Advisor to RioBlanco Capital and Managing Partner of CIG Spectrum Capital & Candlewood Spectrum, LLC. He is an advisor and provides consulting services to various investment managers, companies, and family offices. Over his twenty-seven-plus year career, Mr. Chandra has served on the management, investment, and advisory committees for various credit, private credit, real estate, specialty finance platforms, co-investment SPVs, private equity funds and their related investment managers with collective assets in excess of $30 billion. Before having roles as a Managing Partner, co-founding Partner, and President of Candlewood Investment Group beginning in 2010 and growing the firm to over $4 billion, he served as a Managing Director and a member of the Investment Committee for the Credit Suisse ("CS") Credit Investment Group, which managed over $18 billion. Mr. Chandra was also a Managing Director in the CS Leveraged Finance Group within the Investment Bank and a member of the operating committee during his ten-year plus tenure at CS and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Mr. Chandra is a direct investor with multiple exits and has or currently serves as a board member, board observer, and/or senior advisor to RioBlanco Spectrum Qualified Opportunity Zone Real Estate vehicles, Capital Rx, The Forest Road Company, Rex Financial, Queens Court, Summit Parks, and Cyware Labs. Mr. Chandra is a CFA charterholder. He received his B.A. in Economics, magna cum laude, from Cornell University, where he was also a Meinig National Scholar.
